Katie knew about Jesus, and asked Him into her heart without knowing what that really meant. When she got older, Katie learned about the gospel and that she could know Jesus personally. Katie placed her faith in Jesus as her Lord and Savior and describes what it’s like to have a relationship with Him. Katie got a diagnosis of breast cancer, but she didn’t struggle and is thankful for what God has chosen for her life. God has given her a way of seeing true purpose in her illness. She used her cancer as a way to reach out to family and friends and show them how God has matured her and has cared for her throughout her treatment. Katie trusts in God and she has a relaxed attitude because she knows for sure that one day she will be with Jesus in heaven.

Tom came from a Catholic background. He shares how his father’s suicide impacted him and his siblings growing up. He talks about his relationship with his wife and their attendance at a Church where they heard preaching straight out of the Bible. Tom was visited by the pastor and asked if he would like to know Christ personally. Tom received Jesus into His life and asked Jesus to help him with an alcohol addiction he had battled with for 20 years. Tom shares how Jesus set him free from the addiction. Tom has since served at a local ministry for the homeless – he has a heart for others who are battling addictions. He knows that Jesus can set them free also.

Rob felt there was something missing from his life so he decided to go to church. He heard the gospel and believed that Jesus died for him. Rob has since got a sudden diagnosis of cancer. The doctors told him his cancer was terminal. Rob describes how a homeless man prayed for him the day of his diagnosis. Rob feels very looked after by God. He has a peace about his illness.

Anna talks about growing up going to church but feeling very indifferent to the experience. She suffered a lot of emotional pain when her parents divorced. She felt lost and like she needed answers. Anna was supported by her friends who invited her to church. At that point, God showed Anna her need for Jesus. Although Anna accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, she did not prioritize her relationship with God at first. Now she knows her relationship with Jesus is the most important one of her life. Barb talks about how the desires for food, along with beauty and acceptance resulted in her becoming bulimic as a young woman. Barb became a Christian, and her bulimia continued. She realized it was affecting her relationship with God. After that realization, God intervened in Barb’s life and helped her overcome her eating disorder. Jesus has given Barb a new perspective on beauty, and a new perspective on food. She has discovered the source of true lasting pleasure is in Jesus Christ.

Jimmy witnessed God change his dad from a violent drunkard to a Christ follower. He hated the new way of his father and ridiculed him. Jimmy and the rest of his family were Catholic. Jimmy started attending a Bible-believing church and could tell there was something different about it. Jimmy started reading the Bible and one day he personally encountered Christ. Jimmy talks about weeping over his sins that day. Jimmy describes what it’s like to personally know Jesus – rather than simply know about him as in the Catholic tradition. Jimmy is now passionate about helping other people in India know the Lord Jesus Christ. His prayer is that India would become a Christian country who could worship God together.
